I was delighted to work with the superb musician Ross Ainslie for the release of his album 'Pool' We shot the video for one of the tracks 'Slow Down' around Parkhill Woods near Lochwinnoch and he even had a chance to drive my Triumph Spitfire as part of the action!!

A challenging commission, The performance was repeated 3 times that evening so I filmed each one of different cameras and my drone. I also had a GoPro up with the aerial performers. This is a short edited trailer of the original 15 min performance.

Sometimes it’s great to change it up and do something a little bit different, “No Henks” by Cheery Odin was a recent example. We had a quick chat and the client had a strong idea of the visuals he wanted for his song. He was really pleased with the result. Great fun too!

I made 12 episodes of the Orkney Series, (plus a bloopers reel..!), with the lovely folk of FARA for their album Energy Islands. The music is inspired not just by the beauty of the islands and its wind, waters and weather but by the extraordinary way in which the environment has been used to create green energy. All episodes were shot on location on the beautiful Orkney and the West coast of Scotland and I had the most amazing time working on this project!

A real privilege to have this edit close the final evening of the 2021 Celtic Connections Festival.

I promised myself that I wouldn’t “do weddings’ when I set up Studio 27 Productions…. but… when I filmed the first one of these at Dunskey Estate in Portpatrick, I kept coming back! It’s such a beautiful place to work that it made my job very easy…
